Welcome to the home page of Jersey Piano Tuner - My name is David Barker and I am a self-employed piano tuner and technician working in several parts of the UK mainland and now available for piano tuning and piano repair work in Jersey.

I was originally trained in piano tuning and repairs at Newark (Notts.) where I gained a qualification in Classical Musical Instrument Technology. I have also received training in bridge and soundboard repairs, and in regulation and voicing, from Renner, the piano components manufacturer, as part of their Renner Recognized Technician programme, and in piano casework repairs from König UK.

If you have a piano that needs to be tuned or repaired, why not give me a call? As well as tuning I can replace broken strings, regulate or service piano actions, mend scratched or chipped high gloss and satin piano casework, and deal with annoying clicks, squeaks and buzzes. I also supply accessories such as castor cups, piano stools etc.

To keep your piano in tip-top condition in situations where the humidity is inevitably changeable, you may want to consider having a Dampp-Chaser system fitted. These are available for both upright and grand pianos, and as a trained installer I can supply and fit the appropriate unit to suit your piano's needs.
